Genuine Clipsal 30 Series intermediate switch mechanism. The intermediate is what you need when a light is switched from three or more positions - a long hallway, a stairwell, or a room with several doors.
Two-way switching gives you two control points. For a third or fourth, an intermediate goes between the two-way switches. Wire the intermediate in the strappers, not the switch wire.
