Plastic clips are fine indoors and out of the sun. Hot dip galvanised saddles are what you want outdoors, in plant rooms, near the coast, or anywhere the run is exposed to weather, heat or knocks - and on larger conduit where the weight matters.
Fix at closer intervals on larger conduit so the run does not sag between saddles. Electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
