Genuine Clipsal brass earth clip for bonding 20mm metal conduit or pipe. Brass resists corrosion and holds a reliable low resistance contact over time, which is why it remains the standard choice for earth bonding. 20mm is the most commonly used size.
Earth bonds have to stay reliable for the life of the installation. A plated steel clip can corrode at the contact face and let resistance creep up over years. Brass does not, which is why it is specified for bonding.
Clean the pipe surface before fitting so the clip makes proper metal to metal contact. Earth bonding must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
