What you get across the range
Mixed-flow impeller — moves serious air against duct resistance, where an axial fan would stall. Reinforced injection-moulded polypropylene housing, moulded plastic impeller.
Serviceable without pulling the duct apart — the fan body lifts out on purpose-designed support brackets. Anyone who's tried to service a fan buried in a ceiling will know what that's worth.
Integrated mounting foot — fixes off cleanly instead of being strapped up and hoped for.
Plug and lead included — standard models come with a 2-pin plug to suit HPM 37CL or Clipsal 413-WE bases with 3-pin sockets.
Mount in any position — vertical, horizontal, on its side. Suits both supply and exhaust.
The 150SW and 200SW include an external 2-speed switch. The 125 doesn't — it's a 2-speed motor, but you'll need a separate switch or VA-type speed controller if you want low speed.
⚠ Sizing note for the 125
Fantech specifically advise against spring-loaded backdraft dampers, long duct runs and air valves on the 125mm model. It hasn't got the static pressure for them. If your run is long or you need a damper, step up to the RIL-150SW — it's the more forgiving fan and it's not much more.
Speed control
These can be speed-controlled with a VA-type controller, but only from the high-speed setting.
Installation
The fans are plug-in, but the socket base in the ceiling is electrical work and must be installed by a licensed electrician.
