This is the remote only. No receiver is included. It's a replacement for a fan that already has its V1 receiver fitted.

It only works with Version 1 (V1) DC fans. It will NOT work with Version 2 (V2) fans, AC fans or any other models.

Have a V2 fan? You need the Hunter Pacific DCHP9S remote instead.
