Why IP over traditional wiring
Conventional intercoms need dedicated multi-core cable run between each station. This runs on standard Cat5e or Cat6, which is quicker to pull, cheaper per metre, and already installed in most newer homes. Where cable is not an option, monitors can run wirelessly over dual band Wi-Fi.
