Important - check this before you order

Daikin systems support a maximum of two controllers. The Airbase counts as a controller. If your system already has two controllers connected - for example one upstairs and one downstairs - you cannot add this unit unless one of the existing controllers is removed first.

Installation

Supplied with a 20m communications cable that connects to the P1 and P2 terminals in the indoor unit electrical box. These run in parallel with the two wires going to the wall controller or zone control box. There is no polarity, so either wire can go to either terminal.

Mount the adaptor within 30m of your Wi-Fi router, with clear line of sight where possible, for the best signal.

Always isolate power before installing. Any work inside the indoor unit electrical box should be carried out by a licensed technician.

Setting up the app

Download the free Daikin Airbase app from the App Store or Google Play. The SSID and KEY needed to pair the adaptor are printed on the side of the unit - write these down before you install it, as they can be hard to reach once mounted.
